The Forum Diner in Bay Shore closes Sunday after more than 50 years in business.
The owners say that they couldn’t keep up with rising food costs and rent.
Customers say that they will not only miss the food, but also the service of the kind staff.
“I love when you come, everyone is happy. They take care of you and the food is good,” says Frank Portelli, a diner customer. “We know some of the waitresses, so it’s very good. I love coming here.”
The staff at the family-owned and operated diner say they are grateful to their customers for their constant support and hope to open another business in the future.
