A former jeweler admitted Wednesday to stealing jewelry and selling fake diamonds to customers.
Laura Bee pleaded guilty to stealing over $137,000 worth of jewelry in nearly three years as the manager of the now-closed Ever Love Jewelry in Huntington Village.
On some occasions, Bee is accused of selling diamond engagement rings to customers who thought they were buying real stones. The customers would later find out they bought diamonds that were lab-grown.
Bee also allegedly swapped real diamonds for fake ones and agreed to sell jewelry for friends, but then kept the money.
