Former Good Samaritan nurse accused of mishandling newborn to appear in court

A former nurse in Suffolk County accused of mishandling a baby in the hospital was due back in court this morning.

As News 12 reported, Good Samaritan University Hospital nurse Amanda Burke was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child after she was caught on camera roughly flipping a 2-day-old baby in the neonatal intensive care unit.

She was fired hours later.
