Consumers are being reminded about a previous recall of a popular Fisher-Price product that has caused dozens of additional deaths since it was first pulled from the shelves.
The Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play Sleepers were first recalled on April 12, 2019.
In an updated announcement this week the Consumer Product Safety Commission wrote that "Since the recall, approximately 70 additional fatalities have been reported, which includes at least eight fatalities that were reported to have occurred after the initial recall announcement."
The product was sold at major stores nationwide from September 2009 through April 2019, including Walmart, Target and online retailers like Amazon.
Consumers are advised to stop using the devices immediately, and that it is illegal to sell or distribute the recalled products.
Refunds or vouchers are available by contacting Fisher-Price.
