A family of four is out of their home after a fire in Nassau County late Monday night.
The Plainview Fire Department was dispatched to the blaze around 11:30 p.m. in a two-story wood frame house on Hope Drive at Old Country Road.
The building was a mixed-use, also operating as a doctor's office, according to the Nassau Fire Marshal’s office.
Plainview, under the command of Chief Cohen, was assisted at the scene by the Syosset, Farmingdale, Melville, Bethpage, Hicksville, and Jericho fire departments, as well as a Deputy County Fire Coordinator.
Two adults and two children, who were inside their apartment when flames broke out, were alerted by smoke detectors and able to get out safely, fire officials say.

There were no injuries to civilians or first responders.
The cause is under investigation by the fire marshal and detectives from the Nassau Police Arson/Bomb Squad.
