3h agoDozens of Fire Island ferry passengers had to move to another boat Wednesday when an engine overheated.
One of the boats had mechanical trouble upon leaving the Bay Shore Marina.
The Coast Guard was called in as a precaution, but everyone was OK.
The Fire Island Ferries manager told News 12 it is the first time passenger have ever been moved off a ferry mid-trip.
