A new FEC filing shows Rep. George Santos’ reelection campaign is deep in debt.
The campaign reported it has less than $23,000 and more than $123,000 in unpaid bills.
Documents show a net loss of more than $16,000 in campaign contributions between July and September.
Scarce fundraising numbers are rare, especially for those actively seeking reelection.
As News 12 reported, Santos was indicted in May on 13 federal charges including wire fraud, money laundering and theft of public funds.
Last week, the Justice Department added 10 new charges including conspiracy, falsification of records and aggravated identity theft.
