Union officials say dozens of FDNY firefighters could lose their jobs in the coming days due to COVID mandates.
Approximately 70 unvaccinated firefighters are expected to be terminated, despite the CDC easing restrictions.
Union leaders are calling on the city to allow the first responders to continue working.
Mayor Eric Adams has said New York City has "not faced any staffing or operational challenges due to the city's vaccine mandate."
