Suffolk police deemed a fatal house fire that took place Monday in Wyandanch suspicious. The Wyandanch Fire Department was called to a home at 77 Brooklyn Ave. in the early morning hours, police said.

Suffolk police deemed a fatal house fire that took place Monday in Wyandanch suspicious.
The Wyandanch Fire Department was called to a home at 77 Brooklyn Ave. in the early morning hours, police said. When firefighters entered the house, they discovered an adult female body. Police identified the victim as 49-year-old Fran Russell.
Suffolk Police Department's homicide and arson squads are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS or the homicide unit at (631) 852-6392.
