A Farmingdale man runs a local plant and tree care business but had to pause it during the pandemic. So he keeps busy by caring for a 98-year-old woman.
Evan Dakow says he started calling his clients to ask if they needed anything, and he was connected to the woman he considers his "adopted grandmother."
She told him she needed groceries back in April, and now Dakow has keys to her house.
He says himself and his wife take her to doctor appointments and go out to dinner with her two times a month.
