Two years later after Superstorm Sandy, a Babylon family is a little closer to going back home.
John and Cathy Fallon had their 76-year-old home torn down after the storm due to severe damage. Their new one-bedroom house was rebuilt with help from Rebuilding Together Long Island, the American Red Cross and other community organizations.
Since Sandy, the family has lived in four different apartments. They say they are frustrated with the way funds were dispersed to victims.
"Something is definitely wrong. Cuomo needs to step up to the plate and stop saying they spent so much money. That money was not for the people," said Cathy Fallon. "It was for the boardwalks, certain bridges...It had nothing to do with the homeowners."
The Fallon's house has been rebuilt, but there are no rooms yet. They are hoping to move in January or even February.
