A Floral Park teen is in critical condition following a hit-and-run in Albany, her family says.
Jim Kropf says his daughter Alexa was hit by a dirt bike on Saturday.
He says the 18-year-old has had two surgeries to relieve swelling on her brain and an additional surgery to repair a fracture in her leg.
Police told News 12 that the driver of an illegal dirt bike struck the teen at a high rate of speed and fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help during her recovery. According to the page, Alexa Kropf is a freshman at University of Albany.
