Employees at Hansen's Flower Shop in Fairfield say they're ready ahead of what's expected to be a busy Valentine's Day today.
Staff have been staying late and they'll be coming in early again today.
Longtime designer, Nancy Gardiner says they have their core full-time and part-time staff working.
Gardiner says the store brings in more drivers than their normal fleet, rents additional vans and cooler space, and even have two trailers in parking lot with commercial refrigeration units and a big cooler ready to store flowers.
She says the flower shop expects to do more than 500 deliveries today.
Because of the rising cost of fuel, she says, deliveries may cost more this year.
But in terms of supply chain issues and flower shortages, Gardiner says they planned and are ready for whatever today may bring.
