A News 12 viewer sent in video of what he discovered during a shopping trip to Stew Leonard’s in Farmingdale this week.
He said he once found a melon that was wet, so he looked and found water falling from a pipe blow onto an awning and rolling down onto the produce.
He immediately notified store management, and says he was told he wasn’t the first person to complain about it.

News 12 went to the store Wednesday and noticed the problem areas had been addressed with extra insulation. Crews were also on site working on the ceiling.
The NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets tells News 12 they visited the location in March after receiving a similar complaint, and management made temporary repairs until new pipes could be installed. The inspector also did not observe any mold or dripping pipes at the time, but they intend to reinspect following this new complaint.
