The sister of Christopher Millwater, a Selden resident who was discovered early Monday morning injured in Stony Brook and later died at the hospital, tells News 12 he was found in a place he frequented often.

Christopher's sister Corinne Millwater spoke exclusively to News 12, saying the spot where he was found near the Stony Brook Yacht Club was also the place he’d go often to find peace and tranquility while fishing, reading or listening to music.

Corinne Millwater also said that he had recently beaten cancer.

Few details about Christopher Millwater's death have been released. Police would only say that he was the victim of violence.

A suspect is still on the loose. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
