One Nassau County man recently became a millionaire.

The New York Lottery says it’s all because he made a last-minute decision.

Jacques Mutombo, of Elmont, matched the first five numbers during the Powerball drawing on March 23.

When Mutombo bought his ticket, he added a $1 Powerplay, which ended up doubling his winnings, according to lottery officials.

The move turned the $1,000,000 Powerball second prize into a $2,000,000 Powerball Powerplay.

The winning ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola.

Mutombo opted to be paid in a single lump sum of about $1.3 million, after taxes.
