After nearly two weeks of being closed due to the T20 Cricket World Cup, Eisenhower Park is set to reopen its fields, parking lots and golf courses to the public.
The Red & Blue courses will be open Thursday, joining the White course which had been open during the World Cup.
The Aquatic Center will reopen Thursday morning as well. Field 6 parking is the only part of the park that will remain limited, as the transition from the Cricket Stadium gets underway.
Nassau County Parks Commissioner Darcy Belyea told News 12 that the stadium must be fully removed, and the area fully restored by July 31, although they will be lenient with the date. She adds the park will have a world-class cricket field as well as two softball fields, a multi-purpose area and picnic area.
Cantiague Park will also reopen fully to the public Thursday after being used as a cricket practice facility.
