An East Quogue woman is facing multiple charges after police say she attempted to burn down multiple houses in Hampton Bays.
News 12 has been told Amanda Burnside set a bench and porch of a home on fire.
Detectives say they received two other similar calls from those living in the area.
Burnside was arrested and released without bail.
The Suffolk DA says less than two hours after her release, Burnside tried to rob a Dollar Tree while armed with a knife.
Burnside was arrested again and charged with attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
Burnside is being held in county jail.
