An East Meadow man who created a TikTok account to make science fun and understandable will get a front row seat to witness the historic launch of Artemis 1.
Justin Colon, also known as "The Justonian" on the social media platform has gone viral by focusing on topics from fossils to physics.
"I just love science, I love education and I really think I'm able to connect to people this way," Colon says.
NASA caught eye of the 21-year-old's videos and invited him to watch the launch of Artemis 1 in Florida next week.
Colon says he started freaking out when he got the email.
He applied to the NASA social media program on a whim and is one of about 100 social media creators selected to come to the launch.
"It is 100% because of my platform and all the people who watch my videos that I'm actually allowed to go to something as cool as that," Colon says.
He says he plans to livestream the launch and make a series of TikTok videos of the event.
