The East Meadow assistant superintendent accused of making controversial claims about what children are being taught has been reassigned.
The board president for the East Meadow Union Free School District tells News 12 that Dave Casamento will no longer be working in any district building.
Casamento allegedly made claims about the "covert" teaching of diversity, equity and inclusion in a video posted online.
The school board an investigation is underway after parents called for Casamento's resignation at a board meeting on Wednesday.
Casamento is also accused of admitting to weeding out certain candidates for jobs.
