The Big Duck in Flanders lit up for the holiday season on Wednesday night.
Hundreds of people were in the crowd, waiting for Santa to begin the countdown to usher in the holidays.
Of course, no lighting of the Big Duck would be complete without Long Island Ducks mascot QuackerJack, who posed for some pictures.
Residents say the lighting event is all about being with family and friends, celebrating another year together.
This year marks the 29th annual lighting of the Big Duck.
