Everybody loves summer on Long Island, but apples make fall feel like a very special time as well.
News 12 Long Island's Doug Geed visited Wickham's Fruit Farm in Cutchogue.
Tom Wickham, a 13th generation farmer, grows a big variety of apples, and many other fruits, on his sprawling farm in Cutchogue.
Their pick-your-own apple orchard has new varieties, as well as classics such as Honeycrisp, Macoun and Gala.
If you don't want to pick your own, there's plenty of apples, and other items, at the stand, including another fall favorite - pears.
They also grow their own old-school fruit - beach plums. It's used to make jams and jellies.
