East End: Strawberry season

Strawberry season is very short on Long Island, three to four weeks. By Father's Day they're likely to be done.

Strawberries are back at East End farms.
At Patty's Berries and Bunches in Mattituck, the U-pick has just begun. Social distancing will be enforced, but the farm owner expects big crowds.
Jonathan Sujecki, of Sujecki Farms, says cool nights in May brought the crop in later than usual, but says he is proud of the quality.
