The winter break is not far off, and you might be trying to think of things to do with the kids!
News 12's Doug Geed takes us to a spot filled with animals and tropical warmth in this week's East End.
Seals have kind of been the unofficial greeters of the Long Island Aquarium ever since it opened in 2000.
Their habitat is right in front of the facility on Main Street in Riverhead. And if you're lucky, you just might catch feeding time for the group.
There's lots to see inside the aquarium.
You can also come in contact with creatures that spend their entire lives -- all 2-to-3 weeks of it -- in the air -- butterflies.
Then there's also PENGUINS!
