Earthquake aftermath: Safety inspectors check Greenwich’s Central Middle School

Building inspectors were at Central Middle School in Greenwich on Saturday morning to perform safety checks after an earthquake hit the tristate area.
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit Lebanon, New Jersey on Friday morning – rumblings were felt all the way to Connecticut.
Students at CMS were moved to Greenwich High School following concerns that the building had sustained damage from the earthquake. Officials said a post-earthquake inspection revealed cracks in the building.
News 12 Connecticut’s Angelica Toruno reached out to town and building inspectors but did not hear back.
"They're inspecting it today and so we'll get more reports later today and tomorrow but certainly, that school is coming down anyway and that was why the move was made to get the kids out of there just in case,” said Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo.
The question remains where CMS students will go when school resumes on Monday.
