Drivers who use the Hale Avenue parking garage in White Plains are still dealing with the aftermath of a partial collapse.
Questions remain as to when the remaining cars will be removed from the garage.
The portion of Hale Avenue which has been closed the past couple of days finally reopened to pedestrian and vehicular traffic on Friday.
News 12 spoke with one car owner who says his car is still stuck on the fifth floor.
He says he was able to see from an adjacent parking lot that his car is unscathed but near where the partial collapse occurred.
"My understanding was that that area was not impacted, but I am so close to where it was...so I feel good, but I just want my car,” he said.
Many who spoke with News 12 say they're not surprised by the collapse.
"Since I've been here, they've been doing construction, or maintaining it sort of but since I've been here really nothing seems to get done," said Andres whose car is stuck in the garage.
"There have been areas of the garage that were closed off at various times that we were told just weren't safe to park in," said Eric, who also works in the area and frequently parks in the garage.
As of Friday afternoon, cars were seen being removed via the South Broadway exit.
