One person is dead after a crash on the Southern State Parkway in Nassau County.

The incident happened eastbound near Exit 29 in North Massapequa around 11:30 pm, according to police.

Speed and wet roads were both factors in the crash, police say.

Only one vehicle was involved in the collision.

Police have not released the identity of the driver at this time.

Nobody else was hurt.
