More than a dozen people are displaced after a massive fire tore through several homes in Woodbury.
It started at 41 Pheasant Lane just after 9 p.m. Saturday.
Officials say the flames started spreading from one home to the next within minutes, as firefighters battled the cold conditions.
"You deal with icing conditions which makes everything slippery, and then the fire conditions, trying to get ahead of it and keeping the firemen safe on top of it," says Chief Douglas Share, of the Syosset Fire Department.
A total of four condos were damaged and 15 people were displaced.
It took about 90 minutes and 19 fire departments to get the flames under control.
No one was hurt.
Officials do not believe the fire is suspicious.
