Downtown Patchogue saw few people and cars Thursday night after the first major snowstorm of the year.
The pavement on Main Street was visible, but the road was expected to remain slick as temperatures continued to drop.
Residents throughout lower Suffolk County lamented to News 12's Christine Insinga throughout the day how they couldn't bare the poor conditions -- with blizzard-force winds and heavy snow constantly present.
Earlier in the day, News 12 spoke with an East Patchogue man who said he waited all day for Hagerman Avenue to be plowed. He later told News 12 that his street was eventually cleared.
