Supplies collected by charities on Long Island are starting to be delivered to hurricane victims in Florida.

Charity organizations like Jibaritos With Troops are loading up trucks full of donated items at their Bay Shore location to be hand-delivered to Floridians.

Angels of Long Island in Patchogue delivered its first shipment of donations Wednesday, despite being robbed last week. 

Both groups are still connecting donations, as well, and plan on making even more trips. 

"A drink of water, a snack for your kid, knowing that somebody cared makes all the difference," said Debbie Loesch, Angels of Long Island.
