Long Island volunteers packed up clothes and hygiene supplies Friday to send to victims of the earthquake in Turkey.
The donations, which were loaded into a 40-foot shipping container, were collected during a drive at the United Muslim Association's facility in Dix Hills.
One volunteer tells News 12 a lot of people came out to give back at the collection.
"Watching the community come in and ask what they can do to help really shows the generosity of people," says Ramin Yaqubie, of Smithtown. "And at the end of the day, we're all human."
