A Long Beach family has their dog to thank for helping them escape a house fire.
The blaze happened at a home on East Hudson Street early Sunday morning, according to the Nassau Fire Marshal’s office.
The dog woke up the three people sleeping inside.
Flames spread to the home next door, fire officials say.
Nassau’s Chief Fire Marshal tells News 12 both houses are unlivable right now.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
