Peaches is a yellow lab mix who weighs 42 pounds. Some say she looks like a black mouth cur. Peaches was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. The North Fork Animal Welfare League is one of the participating partners in the The Spayathon for Puerto Rico – with a goal of 20,000 sterilizations by next year. This past March, North Fork Animal Welfare League's executive director, Gillian, spent a week working at the first Spayathon clinic where 1,100 animals were sterilized. Peaches was found on the street at that time homeless with nine puppies. This sweet young dog saw all her puppies get adopted but still waits for her forever people to find her. She’s a wonderful companion for someone who wants an outgoing dog to spend quality time with.
Trevor is a pit bull-type dog approximately 8 years old and weighs 48 pounds. Trevor spent the last 3 years locked in a small closet-like space in a basement. For an older guy he has plenty of energy. He likes to be near his person and also likes to sit on them. He's an all around great family dog.
