As school is underway there has been a big push to get teens vaccinated - but is the effort working?
In this week's Deep Dive, News 12 is checking back in with the team at Investopedia to get the latest on teen vaccination rates in New York.
Last month, Westchester County was leading the teen vaccination rate, and the trend continues.
In Westchester, 71.7% of teens have been vaccinated. In Nassau County, 59.9% of teens, in Suffolk County 48.1%, and in the New York State area 54.8% of teens have been vaccinated so far.
Since Labor Day and the start of the school year, New York City has seen a 5% increase in teen vaccinations.
"Suffolk County still has the slowest growth in vaccination rates and the slowest amount of teens having been vaccinated so far," says Caleb Silver, of Investopedia.
