World-famous rocker and Long Island native Dee Snider led his annual charity motorcycle ride on the Island Sunday.
Kickstands were up and hundreds of riders took off from Lido Beach for the 14th annual ride to fight hunger locally.
All of the proceeds will go to Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank to help feed
Long Islanders in need.
"I couldn't believe 11 percent of Long Islanders need help putting food on the table, and all these riders are here to help them put food on the table," Snider says.
Long Island Cares helps to feed thousands of people each month and organizers say the annual Biker Run is their biggest fundraiser of the year.
The event kicked off in Lido Beach and its grand marshal this year was none other than News 12's own Elisa DiStefano.
Organizers say this year's event raised more than $75,000.
