Leonela Chavez, 21, of Stamford, says she's "infuriated' by a graphic video showing her father - 42-year-old Leonel Chavez - being tased by ICE agents in Norwalk Friday.

"We are outraged by the way these ICE agents treated by father - a hard-working taxpayer who's lived here for decades and has no previous criminal record," Leonela told News 12 Tuesday.

ICE agents also arrested Leonela's uncle, 43-year-old Ricardo Chavez.

She says both men are being held at an ICE detention center in Massachusetts.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal called the arrests "brutal and possibly illegal".

"I am deeply disturbed by this potential use of excessive force, throwing these individuals to the ground, using a taser, all by masked unmarked agents," Blumenthal said.

The family's attorney, Anthony Febles, condemned the arrests.

"I refuse to accept that we're going to continue to allow people to trample our rights and treat us like we don't matter, because we do," Febles said.

News 12 reached out to ICE, but has not yet received a response.
