People in Suffolk have been waking up to their tires and rims gone, and on Wednesday, the district attorney announced the indictment of two alleged major players in an auto theft operation on Long Island.
Randy Woods and Dwayne Jones allegedly stole tires and rims off of 114 cars in Western Suffolk County.
“This conduct allegedly caused property damage to our citizens in the county of about $500,000,” Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney.
The men were indicted on a 190-count indictment for the grand larceny and auto stripping crimes they are accused of.
Both are facing up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
