Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday that emergency medical supplies and teams of more than 100 medical personnel will be heading to Puerto Rico.
New York is also teaming up with UPS and UNICEF USA to deliver other supplies.
Tuesday's shipment includes water, hygiene products and soap.
Members of Port Authority, the New York State Police and National Guard all have headed to Puerto Rico to help.
"I believe this state has done more to help Puerto Rico than any state in the United States, and I am proud of that. No one steps up to the plate more than New Yorkers," said Cuomo.
