Police say a crossing guard was hit by a vehicle this morning in Nassau County.

According to police, the incident happened around 8 a.m. near the Merrick train station.

The victim was taken to the hospital and there is no word on their condition. Their identity has not been released.

It is unclear if any arrests were made.
