Rizzo, at least for the most part, Mike. We're dry here again today. Yeah, we're dry here today and we're dry for the most part until the weekend, you know, Sunday night into Monday, maybe something's coming through. And I think it's more likely that something is by that time. But hey, we got a couple of days to work out the details and I promise by the end of the week, we'll have some more understanding of when it's coming and what exactly it is. But right now, I do know it's rain. So that's all I kind of know as we head into the weekend. So future cast for the term calls are just building clouds today. By 230 this afternoon, you'll see a deck of clouds across the state. It's actually not going to be a bad deal. Overnight. Clouds continue to pass through, maybe a rope sprinkled, but many of us will be sleeping when that happens by tomorrow morning, it's actually going to be cold, 35 degrees, passing clouds, some breaks of sun. Really. Not a bad day. Tomorrow, there's going to be some weak energy in the upper atmosphere that could spark a rogue flurry, maybe a Sprinkle. Warren, Morris Sussex counties. Not a big, most people probably not even going to see them, but there's that chance and more or less temperatures in the lower forties probably means that it's going to be rain or like a little Sprinkle. Right. Not rain but a Sprinkle. So, just be aware of that for Wednesday afternoon. I don't think it's going to be much of an issue. Breaks of sun, mostly cloudy out of, of things are just pretty steady and into Wednesday. Now come Thursday, there was going to be another piece of energy generally over the west is going to be over Pennsylvania mostly. But for us, we're just going to seeing temperatures in the low forties, breaks of sun, mostly cloudy conditions and South Jersey, uh that's Burlington County and South probably going to be dealing with a, a quick little like a Sprinkle or a shower as it had toward a Thursday night. Otherwise the rest of us are going to be dealing with quiet weather into Fridays. The sun emerges out and then as we get into the weekend, that's where we're going to be watching for Sunday. 10 day forecast highlights our temperatures kind of moving up into Friday and Saturday with sunshine temperatures in the fifties. If we take a look at Sunday, I do want you to note that there will be rain at some point on Sunday as a passing front comes through, it's gonna kick in some winds, it's gonna kick in some rain and this is likely going to happen toward the evening. Now, the good news is that it's not cold enough to support any kind of snow. Temperature is going to be near 56 degrees. So do keep in mind that it's likely just the rain as we head into the second half of the weekend and early next week looks windy, but temperatures come back down into the forties.

Right now, storm watch teams, Hoose has been tracking some chilly weather making its way. Are we a chilly or cold? Hope, what are we looking at now? Chilly, too cold. So we're starting off with some chilly temperatures tomorrow and then it's just going to gradually get colder as the week goes on. So here's a first look at what you can expect. This week, the cold does return some wet weather and then we warm up, warm up. So a little bit of a roller coaster that we need to get through as we get through the next couple of days. But this is where we're starting the day, mid to upper thirties to start our Tuesday, we're going to see a little bit of that sunshine, but the cold, that's what you're gonna feel tomorrow morning feel like temperatures will be near 30 degrees. So in the afternoon, mid forties and then we start to experience some colder air. By Wednesday morning, you're waking up the temperatures near 30 degrees once again and it looks like temperatures are really struggle to get to near 40 degrees by Wednesday afternoon. The only good thing about this weather pattern is that we're not seeing any wet weather that's going to hold off until the weekend. But the coldest air that we'll experience this week will be actually Wednesday night into Thursday morning, temperatures will be in the mid to upper twenties, feeling like the low twenties and even the thirties as the day goes on. So as we get into the end of the week, it is going to be dry but milder Friday and Saturday looks and feels amazing. But this is what we're watching for our Sunday, the storm system, it is going to bring in a swath of rain and even some gusty winds, we're still ironing out the details to find out the exact timing and impact for the storm. So keep it in our new 12 and we'll let you know as the week goes on. But in the short term, it is going to be cold by tomorrow and even through Thursday.

This morning with meteorologist Matt Hammer telling us what to expect for Tuesday. Yeah, you're going to want the winter coat and maybe the gloves and the hat too. Not only for the morning hours these next couple of days but into the afternoon as well. We are dealing with a bit of a colder feel as we look outside, still dark and early until just after seven in the morning. And it will be a pretty decent sunrise again this morning before more clouds take over through the day just like yesterday where we started off with the sunshine early. We have more clouds increasing except today is a colder day. Now, this is what it feels like outside right now. 29 in Yorktown Heights to 27 in Middletown, right at the freezing mark in Poughkeepsie, 34 in Yonkers. So dress warmly this morning. Future cast shows temperatures barely touching the low forties into the afternoon hours today with more gray, more clouds increasing for the afternoon this evening and later on tonight, dry, but mostly cloudy temperatures over. It will be in the mid thirties into early on Wednesday morning. Now tomorrow is a day that will feature mostly cloudy skies pretty much the entire day and it is a colder field tomorrow and there can be an isolated flurry or two mixing in during the day tomorrow. I think there's a little bit of a better chance for that on Thursday. This is nothing significant but just it'll, it'll pair nicely if you will with the, the chillier feel, adding a couple of festive snowflakes in the air but nothing that's going to stick to the ground. Anything like that. Just might notice a couple of those snow flakes as we go throughout tomorrow and especially Thursday in terms of what to wear today, have the heavier coat, have the sunglasses for the morning, have the hat, the gloves, all of that, a high barely around 42 degrees and even with a lighter wind by the afternoon hours at 5 to 10 MPH as that wind dies off this morning and into the afternoon, that can still make it feel like the upper thirties during the afternoon hours today. Overnight tonight, upper and low thirties, mostly cloudy but dry with light winds still out of the north and then tomorrow is a mostly cloudy and mostly dry day again with highs right around 40 degrees, but there can be a stray flurry mixed in the same for Thursday as well. Temperatures warm up starting Friday 48 pick of the week is Saturday clouds and breaks of sun 53 before rain and some breezy conditions arrive on Sunday next week, chillier with highs in the forties but mostly dry for Monday through Thursday. We're in Stony Brook Village by the center here and there are Christmas trees that are decorated and richie. You can go to the shops and you can vote on which tree you like best. So kind of an interactive Christmas scene here out towards Stony Brook. So we were there yesterday watching them decorate some of the trees and a pretty good event there and you can see the clear skies there right now. Rich, we're looking at dry conditions in Stony Brook Village Center right now. It is 41 degrees. A little bit of a wind wind chill right now at 34 degrees and dry conditions. Riverhead right now, sun's going to rise up over this tree which is right near old country road, sunny skies this morning, the clouds are coming in during our afternoon hours and going throughout our day. It's going to have that chill, especially with the clouds coming in during your afternoon hours. So outside this morning, we're at 38 in Huntington, 39 in Smithtown, 39 Riverhead. 42 degrees. Right now in Montauk. A bit of a wind wind chills are in the lower thirties in Elmont out the door this morning, kids at the bus stop 39 degrees trying to get to the train platforms out the door. The work, it's cold now this afternoon, 44 degrees. But now the clouds come in and it's going to have a chill to the air with the cloudy skies and a little bit of a wind west northwest at around 5 to 15 MPH. Quiet weather this morning, roads are dry and just like yesterday, clouds come in during the afternoon. But what is different from yesterday, the temperatures yesterday near 55 degrees today, look around 245. Well, right around 41 to 42 degrees, we top out to a hyperlocal high today of 44 degrees. Mostly cloudy skies during your afternoon hours tonight, mostly cloudy temperatures are dropping down into the lower thirties towards the morning hours of Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures will be in the upper twenties to low thirties. So colder weather in the next couple of days. Now, we do see a warm up back to the fifties and it comes over the weekend. But here come the clouds and some rainy weather conditions on your Sunday, it develops late morning into the afternoon, evening hours. And right now it looks to be done early on Monday morning, we'll have the wet weather and the gusty winds back here at home. Today, we're looking at temperatures in the forties, sunshine this morning, clouds this afternoon for tonight. Mostly cloudy skies. Lows are in the lower thirties and take a look at your extended forecast. Cold weather for the start of Hanukkah. A high of only 4050 by Friday fifties over the weekend. Saturday looks great and then the showers coming in on Sunday, breezy, wet weather conditions. 59 Sunday afternoon.

Good stuff there. All right, let's get another check of the weather. Yeah, Alan's back and we're talking cold weather like we're probably used to doing in December. Right. A right. Right. So we're pretty much back to where we should be this time of year. And you think today is cold gets even colder into tomorrow. So, let's take a look. Let's fast forward 24 hours and what we're going to see our temperatures close to the freezing mark tomorrow morning, especially northern parts of our bro. So Riverdale and North Bay Chester close to that freezing mark and it's going to feel like a little bit below freezing. So definitely colder than this morning. 34 for sound, be 35 for throgs that not much of an improvement into the afternoon as we're going to see lots of cloud cover, keeping us on the cold side. So it's going to be a struggle to reach 40 degrees. I think most of us do that. But it's going to feel like the thirties all day long. So, back to that December kind of cold hour by hour, you can see most of the day we're in the thirties, maybe during that two o'clock hour, we do reach the 40 degree mark. Then things get a little bit interesting for Thursday. Notice clouds come right back in and look at the left side of the screen over there. That's right. That's snow. So for us it's just going to be cold, it's going to be about 39 degrees. Then look at that. A couple of snowflakes are pretty close to us here in the Bronx. Of course, this is still a couple of days out, but I can't rule out a couple of those snowflakes, but the forecast is definitely improving most of the day is going to be dry. So looking at Hanukkah as it is ushering in uh for sunset, the temperatures, they are going down from 39 degrees into the middle 30. So you definitely want to bundle up if you're going out and about 10 day forecast is going to show warm up goes really, really into overdrive this weekend. But so does the rain chance big storm system looks likelier and likelier when exactly on Sunday, we're figuring that out, but move those plans to Saturday. Good advice for everyone. Thank you, Alan. Yeah. Yeah, cold air is with us now, it wasn't until too bad. If you think back to the weekend, numbers are well into the fifties while we're on the downswing of things. We're chillier than average tapping out into the lower forties and we're gonna lose that sunshine. A lot more cloud cover is gonna be in the picture as we work our way through the rest of today. Tonight, we're looking at lows down into the twenties 27 for Cornwall Warren, as well as Watertown. We're at the freezing market. Air is out to Bridgeport and you're looking at 30 for those here in Norwalk. Now, it's only gonna be chillier for the start of your tomorrow. But let's work our way through today. We're still gonna work with a good deal of sunshine. Mostly clear skies on the wake up. Here's a look at your seven o'clock, you're stepping out the door, do make sure you got the jacket. Certainly. If you're waiting for some public transportation now, as we look ahead into this afternoon, notice more clouds filling in, losing that sunshine is gonna hurt those temperatures. So, yeah, we're gonna stay a little bit chillier than what we should be for this time of year by several degrees heading into here tonight, as well as your tomorrow morning. We're just growing into some colder air. Notice clouds still hanging around and we won't rule out maybe a passing flake or two. Certainly as we had here tomorrow afternoon, you're noticing for spots back out across the west looking in and around lower Hudson Valley spots like Westchester County. So if your travels or your commute for your tomorrow afternoon are going to lead you through that area. Do keep that in mind. You could see a quick light snow shower or two quiet for your Wednesday night, but notice it's gonna drop off colder Thursday morning. You're stepping out into some 20 degree weather for a lot of us. Certainly with a little bit of some wind holding on, it's certainly gonna be the coldest start. It's gonna be a cold Hanukkah. As we look ahead into the tail end of the week, we rebound nicely heading into the weekend. Numbers back into the upper fifties. We're watching Sunday as we can see some heavy rain and some strong winds. Uh, so it's still a couple of days out, but we'll continue to keep an eye on that.

What's Westport like. There's a lot of money in this town there. Absolutely is. You see big homes and you see large lawns. It's a charming town nestled off the Sauk River, a hidden gem with private beaches off the Long Island. Sound at its heart. It's a town of people of good people, of people who love where they live. But Westport, Connecticut is also known as the next stop in life for growing families. And they had a big house in Connecticut right across the street from Paul Newman and they had everything and they had a pool and a pool house. Joan work was 30 years old when she and her husband Craig moved their family from New York City to Westport in 1981. So he ran a furniture company and then she did interior design. Joan had a real talent decorating. The works had two young Children, Scott and Logan and they settled in a home on Coleytown Road. Family members say their lives were just getting started. Yeah, it seems like they had a really perfect life, beautiful kids. It appeared to look like they were on the road to a happy Long life, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. The bizarre murder of 38 year old Joan Wein of Westport remains a mystery tonight as police continue to look for clues, she had been strangled and her body was set on fire. Joan work was Garret and her vagina set on fire without any answers for 34 years. On the unsolved murder. We decided to search for some ourselves. Come on. You so nice to meet you on this first got together. This was 50 years ago for Mark Holi Center. He's been clinging on to some of his earliest memories with Joan. I haven't even seen this when I've done well. What was your reaction when you got the call that Joan was killed? Nancy picked up the phone and it was my father on the phone saying that Joan had been killed and I was like, whoa, that's my little sister. When I came on in 2010. This area looked a lot different than it was in 1989. The area behind the mother was a lot more secluded. It was more wooded today. Three days after works burial in Norwalk. Jones, husband Craig Wein spoke with us in an off camera interview. Wein said he and his Children are deeply mourning their loss. He added that he's angry and concerned about the effect the media Blitch the tragedy has generated will have on his Children. Whitin also says he's fully cooperating with the police investigation calling them 3 to 4 times a day for new developments. People still are trying to fill in the details. They're trying to make sense of this gruesome murder of a Westport.
