Coronavirus Task Force: 5.1 million Americans have been tested for COVID-19

  • President Trump: 18 states are showing a decline in COVID-19 cases in last seven days.
  • President Trump says there are plans to send ventilators to other countries, such as Mexico, Indonesia, France and Germany.
  • FDA Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn says they have a team of more than 18,000 doctors and scientists working to test drugs/vaccines for COVID-19.
  • Dr. Hahn says there are currently no approved therapeutics for COVID-19. He says 72 trials for therapeutics are underway.
  • VP Pence says 5.1 million Americans have been tested for COVID-19.
