Cops are searching this morning for the man who tried to rob an armored car in front of an Islandia bank. Police say the armored car was servicing an ATM at the Chase Bank on Vets Highway in Islandia

Cops are searching this morning for the man who tried to rob an armored car in front of an Islandia bank.
Police say the armored car was servicing an ATM at the Chase Bank on Vets Highway in Islandia around 6 p.m. last night.
According to police, the man walked over to an armored car guard and demanded cash. As the man tried to get away with cash, a second guard came over and fired his gun.
The man dropped the money and ran.
So far he has not been arrested.
