Police say a Roosevelt gas station attendant and his friend turned the tables on a would-be robber over the weekend.
The alleged incident occurred at the U.S. Petroleum station on Nassau Road Sunday afternoon. The attendant, Ali Sertel, says the suspect, 21-year-old Nathaniel Miller, came in and asked for gum. According to Sertel, when he tried to find change for the suspect, Miller pulled out a gun.
Sertel?s friend, who was behind the counter with Sertel, says when Miller tried to come behind the counter, he hit him with a glass beer bottle. Both men held Miller until police arrived.
Police are now reviewing surveillance video of the incident.
According to police, Miller has been arrested twice in the last six months. He was charged with reckless driving and drug possession.
