Delon Hughes, a Brooklyn man previously convicted of rape, faces first-degree rape and other charges stemming from a violent encounter Sunday in Flatbush.

Police say Hughes met a 17-year-old girl in Flatbush on Sunday at around 4:50 p.m. and forcibly raped her behind a staircase.

The 17-year-old girl told the NYPD that she met Hughes through social media. Hughes was arrested on Sunday.

Police say Hughes was also arrested in 2023 and 2019 for rape accusations involving a 17-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl in separate incidents. Both were contacted via Facebook, according to officials.

He was charged with first-degree rape, strangulation, assault and criminal obstruction of breathing.
