People are still digging out in Middle Island two days after the snowstorm.
Residents on Island Bay Avenue say they've been calling the Town of Brookhaven for two days about the road not being plowed well enough.
News 12 called the town’s Highway Department for a response to complaints from residents. After that call on Tuesday morning, multiple town trucks came to plow the rest of the street.
There were other unplowed roads in the area. A News 12 crew helped a driver who got stuck on Currans Road in Middle Island.
Residents say they are frustrated it took this long for their roads to be plowed.
“I've been here 25, 30 years, I forget. This is the first snowstorm, this is the first time they haven’t touched this road," said Don Quinn, of Middle Island.
News 12 will be speaking to the highway superintendent later today about the roads.
