Connecticut residents who commute to New York arrived home Tuesday evening after a harrowing day for New York City in the wake of the Brooklyn subway shooting that injured 29 people.
News 12 Connecticut's Suzanne Goldklang was at the Darien station to speak with commuters, all of whom said they were impacted in some way by the shooting.
For workers who travel around the city, the emotions hit closer to home. Some say they were already concerned about reports of violence on the trains, and this only confirmed those fears.
Others say taking the subway is essential to getting to and from their jobs.
