Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says expect scattered showers and thunderstorms for Tuesday.

WHAT'S NEW: An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Long Island starting at midnight tonight through midnight tomorrow. Haze from wildfire smoke in Canada is back. There is also a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect for Nassau County this evening at high tide with tides about one foot above normal.

WHAT'S NEXT: Tracking scattered showers and storms Tuesday afternoon. The haze may limit some of the activity, so at this afternoon we are not expecting any widespread or severe storms. The second half of the week looks relatively quiet with warner weather for the weekend.
