News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Sam Augeri says high temperatures will jump into the 50s this weekend and into next week.

HEADLINES:

• Diminishing winds and not as cold Friday with beautiful sunshine

• Rain returns Saturday with a slow drying on Sunday. Sunday is the better weekend day.

• High temperatures rebound into the 50s this weekend with more 50s for much of next week.

• The weather pattern next week is looking unsettled with lots of clouds and showers on Tuesday then again Thursday into Friday and possibly for the weekend.

• We spring forward next weekend

OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows near 24 degrees. Diminishing northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Sunrise: 6:26

FRIDAY: Nice and seasonable with mostly sunny skies. Highs near 43. Lows near 35.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Becoming mostly cloudy with the slight chance of a light showers by Saturday morning. Lows near 35. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY: Cloudy and mild with periods of rain. Highs near 50. Showers taper off at night with lows near 44.
