CityMD is apologizing for a mistake it made with thousands of patients regarding coronavirus testing.
The company says it wrongly told 15,000 patients in New York and New Jersey who tested positive for coronavirus antibodies that they are immune to the virus.
Medical experts say at this point, it's not clear if the antibodies give people immunity.
"We were concerned that the portal message might create some confusion for our patients, so we decided to remove that language from the portal message. We have contacted all affected patients and apologize for the confusion," said CityMD in a statement.
