Perdue Foods, LLC is recalling around 330 bags, or 495 pounds, of frozen ready-to-eat chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
According to the USDA, bags of the Simply Smart Organics Gluten Free Breaded Chicken contain wheat, which is not declared on the product label.
The frozen ready-to-eat chicken products are labeled as gluten-free chicken breast tenders, but contain chicken nugget products.
The company made the discovery after a customer inquired about it. They say the bags were labeled incorrectly.
The items were produced on August 30, 2019.
There have been no reports of any illnesses.
Consumers who purchased the products are urged not to consume them and return them for a refund.
